Clean and comfortable!

We stayed in the cabin in December 2021 for several nights during a week of record snowfall. The location in Dorrington is great, directly off Route 4. The lot is big and well separated from neighbors. Plenty of firewood was supplied, which we depended upon during a 30+ hour weather related power outage. The wood burning stove provided enough heat for the cabin during the power outage but we went through a lot of firewood. The kitchen was well stocked with all the amenities you need. The appliances worked well and there is an ice maker in the freezer. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The Internet was very good. The only cell phone service that works at this location is Verizon. That is the only company that has towers near Arnold and Dorrington. The signal is OK for phone calls and texting, but slow for web. It’s best to set up wi-fi calling/texting/browsing off the cabin’s router. There’s a nice game room set up in the garage. We did not use it much with it being winter, but there is a wall heater. The owners have a contract with a snow plow service. The driveway was plowed several times while we were there. This turned out to be critical for us. There was so much snowfall that we were continually shoveling paths to the front door, garage, bear box (for trash) near the street, and the firewood pile. During the power outage, Cedar Creek Realty (the management company) contacted us to make sure everything was Okay. Most of Arnold was without power for several days. Luckily our outage was not as long.
